Product Description
My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world. —from the Introduction Actual reader feedback:

"I am completely baffled as to how you can congratulate yourself for being a womanizer and a raging drunk, or think anyone cares about an idiot like you. Do you really think that exploiting the insecurities of others while getting wasted is a legitimate thing to offer?"

"Thank you, thank you, thank you—for sharing with us your wonderful tales of drunken revelry, for teaching me what it means to be a man, for just existing so I know that there is another option; I too can say ‘screw the system’ and be myself and have fun. My life truly began when I finished reading your stories. Now, when faced with a quandary about what course of action I should take, I just ask myself, ‘What Would Tucker Do?’—and I do it, and I am a better man for it."

"I find it truly appalling that there are people in the world like you. You are a disgusting, vile, repulsive, repugnant, foul creature. Because of you, I don’t believe in God anymore. No just God would allow someone like you to exist."

"I’ll stay with God as my lord, but you are my savior. I just finished reading your brilliant stories, and I laughed so hard I almost vomited. I want to bring that kind of joy to people. You’re an artist of the highest order and a true humanitarian to boot. I'm in both shock and awe at how much I want to be you."

"You are the coolest person I can even imagine existing. If you slept with my girlfriend, it'd make me love her more."

Product Reviews:
  Actually negative stars...awful!
There are poorly written texts, and there are very lame texts. I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell has the distinction of being both. Numerous times Mr. Max writes about how other people say he is so funny and a great writer. Simply put, he is lying. This book (and I use that term loosely) is poorly written, badly edited, and more importantly has nothing original to say. Mr. Max's tales remind me of my 8th grade students who think they invented curse words or bad behavior. Fortunately, unlike Mr. Max they learn that neither is true by about the age of 15.
Mr. Max writes about how people laugh and laugh at his stories. The only time I laughed out loud in this book was in the chapter about his friend "Slingblade" when he was quoting said person. Now that guy seems witty and funny. Mr. Max and his trite text are neither.
Skip it. It is juvenile trash that thinks offending people, and glorifying self worship is worthy of your time. It isn't. I put down this text and felt a fleeting moment of pity for Mr. Max and how utterly empty and worthless his life must be.

Would someone please explain why you are helping this guy by buying his books? Seems to me you are not only paying for but also serving him his beer!
  Funny, but not the greatest
Tucker Max is funny.. Bbut he doesn't deserve any respect from any respectable woman.

Although he is definitely good for a laugh because we've all been there, on both sides of his stories (seeing as I am a woman, it definitely brough back some fun memories), so we can slightly relate. I think he takes it a little too far sometimes though (at least for my taste), you know that line that should never be crossed?!?! He crossed many times in those 300 pages!!

I'm glad I read it.. I wanted to know how funny he really was, but I probably won't read it again. But if you are just looking to pass the time and want a good laugh, you should try Tucker out.
  Brings back memories.
I thought the book was well written and bought back a lot of old memories :-)
  worst read ever ( rahul425 )
After reading the first two pages I decided to stop torturing my mind with such inane, stupid and meaningless stuff. This book is a TOTAL TRASH!
